Florida Keys Inspiration

A lot of my inspiration comes from travel. My husband and I made our first trip to Key West in 2023, during a Florida road trip. One of my main goals was to drive the Seven Mile Bridge with the top back on the Jeep.

Mission accomplished!

What I didn’t know was how much amazing wildlife we would see on our trip. We stopped at the end of the bridge, on the way to Key West, and walked out the pedestrian walkway and were able to see sea turtles and manta rays swimming by. I could stand out on that bridge and watch the water for hours. (And I probably did - hello sunburn)!

The Key West roosters were another treat. They were just wandering around everywhere. We were eating in an outdoor restaurant when the guy up above strutted through and stopped to give us a quizzical look. I loved his personality so I had to paint him and amp up his vibrancy.

It was a great trip and I can’t wait to go again. I definitely added more photos to my inspiration folder for later use.
